Virginia Stuart Todd

Mrs. Virginia N. Stuart Todd, 84, formerly of Tupelo, MS passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C. A funeral service is planned for Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church, Tupelo, MS. at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. at Salem Cemetery in Macon,  MS. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1008, Tupelo, MS  38802. Cockrell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Virginia N. Stuart Todd was born on October 9, 1934 to the late Nick Gary and Eunice Lee Wilder Stuart in Noxubee County, MS and graduated from Macon High School.  She married David Todd on April 1, 1956 and moved to New Jersey. Mrs. Todd worked as a school bus driver for twelve years and then worked as a postal clerk for seventeen years and retired. She and her husband moved Tupelo, MS in 2006. Mrs. Todd was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was also a member of the Moose Association. In March 2017, Mrs. Todd moved to Myrtle Beach, S.C. to be close to her children. She attended the Grand Strand Community Church. Mrs. Todd enjoyed flower gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, David Todd.

Mrs. Todd is survived her daughters: Virginia L. DeChristopher , Sally J. McClintock, and Betty Smigelski, son: David Gary Todd; sister: Jean S. Williams, nine grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren.
