Sharon Taylor Cooper, 79, of Macon, MS passed away peacefully on March 8, 2021 at Noxubee County Nursing Home. Mrs. Cooper, a Chicago, Illinois native, was born on October 28, 1941 to the late Lillian Faye Stroh Taylor and Verne L. (V.L.) Taylor. Mrs. Sharon, as everyone in Noxubee County knew her, moved to Macon, MS as a child and grew up and was educated there. In May of 1960 she completed her story-book romance by marrying her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, the late Larry Cooper. Together they made their home near Macon where they raised their four children, showing them by example about how love, hard work and family bonds are the basics of a successful life. Mrs. Sharon was an active member of First United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir. She was also a MYF leader, Vacation Bible School teacher, and a Sunday School teacher there. Her children will gladly admit that their Mom was their greatest prayer warrior, continually lifting them and their families up to the Lord. As active as Mrs. Sharon was in church, she was equally as active in her community. She was a member of the Frith Lake Club, the local Daughters of the American Revolution chapter, the bridge club and a Lioness. Many of her friends will remember her from the time that she worked at Fun Fashion in Macon where she enjoyed the opportunity to meet and work with the public. Mrs. Sharon always had a smile and an encouraging word for everyone.

Mrs. Sharon is survived by her children: Melinda (Mike) Pimentel of Marietta, GA; Melanie (Gus) Dinsmore of Macon, MS; Marisa (Jim) Ward of Katy TX, and Mike (Lynda) Cooper of Macon. She is also survived by her sister: Linda (David) Taylor of Mesa, AZ, her eight grandchildren and her eight great-grandchildren.
