Roger Glenn Pierce

Roger Glenn Pierce, 52, of Shuqualak, MS passed away at his daughter’s residence in Caledonia, MS on Monday, February 18, 2019.  A funeral service is planned for Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 2 p.m. from Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel in Macon, MS. Interment will follow in Pinetucky Cemetery in Shuqualak, MS.  A visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to St Jude Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or Sweet Paws Rescue, P.O. box 32, Macon, MS  39341. Roger Glenn Pierce was born in DeKalb, MS on July 5, 1966 to the late Roland Lee, Sr. and Mary Jane Herzog Pierce. He attended Kemper Academy. Roger worked as head saw filer at Barge Forest Products for the last twenty seven years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and he loved his dogs Turbo, Dixie, and Jazzie.

Roger is survived by his daughters, Ashley Pierce of Peoria, AZ, Alesha Nicole (Steven)Price of Columbus, MS and Candise Pierce (tyler Brown)  of Caledonia, MS; a brother, Kenneth Pierce of Dumas, MS and four grandchildren : Nathan Pierce, Colby Price, Mason Price and Brylee Kate Brown.
