Renee Sanders

Renee Sanders, 51, of Tulsa, OK passed away Monday, July 12, 2023.  She is the daughter of Betty Jo Vaughan of Starkville and the late Tommy Joe Sanders. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Mashulaville Cemetery, 4515 Hwy 490, Macon, MS.  Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Della Renee Sanders was born in Macon, MS. She grew up in Mashulaville and Starkville, MS with her sister, Mitsy and cousins, Kevin, Keith, Kim and Mary Elizabeth. Renee loved  her family and was so proud of her nephew, Jesse Willett who is deployed with the Oklahoma Army National Guard in Africa.

Renee took pride in her appearance and her clothing. She loved Holidays and spending time with family and friends. Renee had an artistic touch which she inherited from her father and   graduated from East Mississippi Community College in Graphic Arts. Renee moved to Fayetteville, AR and lived with her dad, then later they moved to Tulsa, OK. Renee never met a stranger, always concerned for people around her and always looking out for others. Her family remembers her for her BIG Heart! She will be missed greatly.

Renee is survived by mom and stepfather:  Betty Jo Reel Vaughan and Jimmy Vaughan of Starkville, MS;

Sister, Mitsy  Willett of Tulsa, OK; nephew, Robert Jesse Willett; aunt and uncle, James Thomas and Ann Reel; cousins, Kevin and Keith Reel, Kim Reel, and Mary Elizabeth Orr.
