Patricia Wooten Strickland

Patricia Wooten Strickland, 67, of Hamilton, MS., passed away at her residence Saturday, September 14, 2024. A graveside service will be held at Soule Chapel Cemetery, near Macon, MS., Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. A visitation will be held at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. Memorials may be made to Soule Chapel Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 432, Brooksville, MS 39739. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Patricia Wooten Strickland was born on November 26, 1956, to the late John Allen and Betty Cockrell Wooten in Macon, MS. She graduated from Central Academy in Macon, MS. On April 26, 1976, was married the love of her life, Ricky Strickland. She and Ricky moved around in their early years to construction jobs but for the last thirty-five years they made their home in Hamilton, MS. She enjoyed shopping for her daughter, Brandy, and loved spending time with her family. Patricia attended First Baptist Church, Macon while growing up with her parents. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Johnny Wooten and Richard Wooten.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Ricky Strickland of Hamilton, MS; a daughter, Brandy Lucas and her husband Jason of Hamilton, MS; and two grandchildren, Autumn and Wesson Lucas.
