Minnie P Williams, 80, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Noxubee County Nursing Home in Macon, MS. Her funeral service is Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Macon with Bro. Bill Ross officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, May 7 at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10-11 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation at alz.org. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is honored to be entrusted with the service arrangements.
Minnie Patterson was born on January 14, 1928 to the late Jasper Fulton and Daisy Lenora Sudduth Patterson in Pontotoc, MS. She graduated from Macon High School and on May 14, 1956 married Luther Williams, who preceded her in death. She was employed at the Cal-Jac clothing factory in Macon and retired from there after many years of service. Mrs. Minnie was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Macon and attended each service until her health failed her. She enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Alvin and a daughter-in-law: Jennifer Williams.
Minnie P. Williams is survived by her two daughters: Debbie Thaggard of Starkville, MS and Wanda Lackey of Macon as well as by two sons: Wayne Williams of Lexington, Ill and Tommy Williams of Noxapater, MS. In addition to her fourteen grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren, she is also survived by her sister: Mary Crabtree of Macon and Jimmie Patterson of Laurel, MS
