Mrs. Marjorie Livingston Simpson, 89, of Macon, MS passed away at her residence on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. A funeral service is planned for Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Macon, MS.  Visitation will be held at the church from 2-3 p.m. There will not be a graveside service due to the inclement weather.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 105 Dent St., Macon MS  39341.  Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Marjorie was born in Winston County, Mississippi on May 28, 1933, to the late Oakley B. and Cora Vale Roberson Livingston.  She was a graduate of Louisville High School. Marjorie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Macon, MS where she was very active until she became unable to attend. Marjorie was a member of the Ageless Wonders, Magnolia Club and Sonshine Girls.  Marjorie was a Mary Kay Consultant for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, decorating T-shirts and she also enjoyed doing for other people. Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, O.B. Simpson, brother, Pharrish Leon Livingston, two nieces and one nephew.

Marjorie is survived by her three Sons: Roland Simpson (Maurice) of Columbus, MS; Robert Simpson (Bonnie) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Ronald Simpson (Linda) of Columbus; five grandchildren: Daniel Simpson (Diana) Simpson, Suzanne Simpson, Francis Wyers (Michael), Michelle Robinson (Jeff), and Benjamin Simspon; two step-grandsons, Phillip Goodwin and Daniel Goodwin; eight great grandchildren: Brinley, Kylie, Patrick, Madison, Nicholas, Rachel, Jackson and Matthew; and a sister: Peggy Livingston of Macon, MS.
