Marianna King Todd

Mrs. Marianna King Todd, 93, of Macon, MS passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Elderly Care Center in Macon, MS.  A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, at the funeral home from 5-6:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery. Memorials may be given to your favorite charity. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Marianna King was born in Des Moine Iowa to the late James W. And Retta Douglas King. She attended high school at the Hartford Consolidated School and later furthered her education at Polk Community College and Florida State University. She was married to William Todd, who preceded her in death. They made their home in Florida for many years and moved back to Macon, MS after William’s retirement in 1996 where they became active members of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed the fellowship of the church and looked forward to all the events and trips that the Church’s senior group, the Ageless Wonders, were constantly engaged in. When not traveling or visiting family and friends, Marianna enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband and by one son: Owen Todd, Jr. as well as by her brothers: Stanley M. King and Ronald King.

Marianna Todd is survived by her son, Bobby Todd of Macon, MS.
