Lorraine Joyce Unruh Unruh passed away peacefully at Oakwood Manor, Brooksville, MS November 18,

2020. She was born in Gray County, Kansas on June 28, 1933, the eighth child of Peter J. and Katie Irene Smith Unruh

Services will be held at 10:30 on Saturday, November 21, at Brook Haven Mennonite Church, 7361 Hwy 388, Brooksville, MS. Ministers Galen Schmidt and Gladwin Koehn will be officiating. Interment will be in the South Haven Mennonite cemetery. Visitation is at the Brook Haven Mennonite Church on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.

On May 11, 1952, Lorraine was married to Vernon Unruh at Greensburg, Kansas. Their home was blessed with five daughters and one son. One daughter and the son died shortly after birth. In 1967 they moved with their young family to Macon, Mississippi

Lorraine worked as a C.N.A. at Noxubee General Hospital for many years after which she became a personal care giver for the elderly.

Those left to cherish memories are Paula and Eldon Giesbrecht, Macon Mississippi, Debra and

Dalen Ratzlaff, Guntersville, Alabama, Colleen and Roger Koehn, Macon, Mississippi and Anita and Jay

Livesey, Bridgewater, Maine; fifteen grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren; two brothers, Pete

Unruh, Brooksville, Mississippi; Larry and Sharolyn Unruh, Grifton, North Carolina; two sisters, Orma and Arnold Giesbrecht, Brooksville, Mississippi; Fern and Harold Schmidt, Brooksville, Mississippi; one sisterin-law, Elaine Unruh, Macon, Mississippi, and one brother-in-law, Howard Nichols, Montezuma, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by Vernon, her parents, an infant son and daughter, one son-in-law, eight brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
