Judith Ann Goodwin Russell was born in Noxubee County, Mississippi on June 16, 1950, to the late Charles L and Sally B. Permenter Goodwin. She grew up in the Greenville, MS area and graduated from Greenville High School in 1968. Judy graduated from Draughn’s Business School and began working in local businesses before moving to Batesville, MS where she worked as the Human Resource Manager for Thermos Corporation and later at Framed Picture Enterprises, where she remained until her retirement. Judy was very involved with her children in their high school activities, but especially with the band. She enjoyed going to football games and band competitions, never missed any of them, and always took care of everyone on the bus rides. She loved the MSU Bulldogs and she was not very happy with a couple of her children who became Ole Miss Rebel fans after moving to Batesville. She also loved playing Bunko with her girlfriends. After her retirement, Judy enjoyed using her computer to help her research her genealogy, checking in on Facebook, and playing Solitaire. She liked to watch “Judge Judy”, game shows and soap operas on TV. Judy was affectionately known as “JuJu” to her grandkids and also her caregivers at the nursing home. Judy’s grandchildren were her life, and she was always there when things were happening in their lives. Judy always called Macon home and loved spending her summers there with her cousins. Judy was a light in the world who always put other people’s needs first. She was a member of Batesville First United Methodist Church, and she loved the Lord and knew exactly where she was going when her Earthly journey was finished. All who knew her will miss her beautiful smile. Judy is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles L. (Chuck) Goodwin, Jr.

Those who are left to mourn Judy are her daughter, Amy Butcher (Richard)-Senatobia, MS, three sons: Eric Robertson (Heather)-Memphis, TN, Vince Roberton-Dallas, TX, and Jason Robertson (Misty)-Olive Branch, MS; five grandchildren: Aaron McIngvale, Molly McIngvale, Drew Gordon, Chase Robertson, and Olivia Morrison.
