Jonathan Coleman Weaver

March 19, 1990 — May 7, 2022

Jonathan Coleman (J.C.) Weaver, 32, gained his wings on Saturday, May 7, 2022, after a year long battle with a rare form of Brain Cancer (Glioblastoma).

JC was born on March 19, 1990, in Orlando, Florida to Bobby Joe Weaver, Jr. and Kathryn Ricciardelli and relocated to Shuqualak, MS in 1998 where he attended Central Academy and then Nanih Waiya Attendance Center. In 2008 he graduated with honors from Nanih Waiya High School and later attended East Central Community College in Decatur, MS, and East Mississippi Junior College in Scooba, MS where he studied Electrical & Engineering Technology. He entered the workforce in the Commercial Electric field and was later introduced to the Industrial Steel Market where he found his passion that provided the adrenaline and everyday challenge he was looking for in a career. After seven years on the road as a high-altitude journeyman connector / fabricator he returned to Mississippi to spend more time with family, friends, in the woods and on the water. Upon returning home he worked at Welding Works in Starkville, MS; KC Welding in Shuqualak, MS; and most recently at Southeastern Timber Products in Ackerman, MS until his diagnosis in June 2021.

JC had many hobbies with most being connected to the great outdoors. He loved fishing and all types of hunting regardless of method or weapon. His two favorite times of the year were bowhunting for deer in October & early November and chasing the elusive “Thunder Chicken” in the spring. However, given his love for shooting he never turned down an opportunity to participate in a good dove shoot, getting wet in a duck hole, blazing the briars for rabbits, or harvesting a sack full of squirrels from a hardwood bottom.

JC also was affectionally known as “Weaver” by his close friends & co-workers. He was always smiling, full of energy, frequently was the life of the party and always attacked life “Full Throttle”. If daily life had a speed limit, he would have received a “Wide Open Speeding Ticket” every single day. He had no hidden agenda (‘s) and you always knew where he stood because he shared his thoughts and opinions openly without reservation.

A service celebrating J.C.'s life will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at First Baptist Church Mathiston @ 11:00 A.M.
