Grace Astin Mann

Grace Astin Mann, 103, of Macon, MS passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Noxubee County Nursing Home in Macon, MS.  A service is planned for Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon, MS. with Bill Ross and Ronald Simpson officiating. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the service arrangements.

Mrs. Mann was born on January 23, 1919, in Nevada County, Arkansas to the late Charley and Lucy Moss Astin. She met Arl Mann in 1938 and married him in 1939. They had 56 years of happiness before he died in 1995. Mrs. Grace retired from United Technologies in 1982 where she had worked for 27 years. After she retired, she enjoyed cooking and sharing  with friends, and making cookies for her great grandchildren. Mrs. Grace was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Macon where she remained active until her health would not allow her to continue to attend. Mrs. Mann is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings.

Mrs. Mann is survived by her two sons: Arl Mann (Colleen) and Bobby Mann (Peggy); 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister: Diane and a brother: James.
