Gloria Viola Foster Gregg

Gloria Viola Foster Gregg, 79, of Louisville, MS passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 1, 2023 at her daughter’s residence in Guntown, MS. A private service for immediate family was held at Murphy Creek Baptist Church near Louisville. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is honored to have been in charge of arrangements.

Gloria Viola Foster was born on April 19, 1944 to the late Horace T and Cynthia Brown Foster in Lyons, MS. Growing up, she attended the Bond school and the Zama school. She was married to her beloved husband, Cecil Gregg, for over 35 years and they made their home near Louisville, MS. To all of her many friends and family she will be remembered as the strongest, most helpful, and kindest person imaginable. To her children she was the sweetest mother, but her special love was spending time with her adored grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and antiquing.

Gloria Gregg is survived by her husband, Cecil and by two daughters: Selena Kirk (Edward) of Collinsville, MS and Felicia Higgins (John) of Guntown, MS as well as by eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister: Glenda Reed (Jerry) and one brother: Ricky Foster (Seretia), both of Louisville, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Tonya Marie and two siblings: Mildred Stone and Joseph Foster.
