Mrs. Georgia Lee Cade, 98, of Brooksville, MS went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday October 9, 2018 at Noxubee General Hospital. She was a member of Brooksville Baptist Church. She died as she lived, trusting God. Her contribution to the world around her was serving others. She put God first, family and friends second. Mrs. Cade sacrificed to make sure that the needs of her children were met.
Mrs. Cade was born on August 14, 1920 in the Yellow Creek Community of Winston County, MS to the late George Washington and Rosa Lee Schooler Conn. She attended a country school in Mashulaville, MS. She married Ed Cade on 1/2/1937 and became a homemaker where they lived in the Yellow Creek Community before moving to Brooksville, MS in the late seventies. Mrs. Cade enjoyed quilt making. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Cade; a daughter, Wanda Faye Redus; a son Jim Cade; 2 granddaughters and one great grandson.
Mrs. Cade is survived by her daughters: Elizabeth Ann Bethany of Clinton, MS and Ruth Ward of Lucedale, MS; a son: Billy Cade of DeKalb, MS; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service is planned for Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery near Macon, MS. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Moore Cemetery, c/o Bobby Cade, 1399 Beersheba Rd, Columbus, MS 39702. Cockrell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
