Celebration of Life

Dorothy Emily (Wilkins) Mancill went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 17, 2023.  She was proceeded in death by her husband, George Jefferson Mancill, Jr. and by her mother and father, Velma (Fondren) Wilkins and Thomas Walker Wilkins.

She is survived by her daughters Emily Michelle Mancill and Rebecca Fondren (Mancill) Buswell and her family; husband, Robert Alan Buswell; grandson Cameron Mancill Buswell; and his wife, Vicky (Huang) Buswell; and granddaughter, Jordan Ashley (Buswell) Adams and her husband Skylar Wayne Adams.

Emily loved her college friends from Mississippi State College for Women and was a founding member of the Silhouette Social Club; she loved her Brooksville Baptist Church family; she loved her “Golden Girls” friends from Macon; she was an avid golfer; and she loved reading to children at the Brooksville Library.

A special thank you goes out to the Windsor Place Nursing Home; an extra special thank you goes out to the B shift nursing staff for their care, love, and compassion.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Brooksville Baptist Church with family visitation to follow in the church’s fellowship hall.
