Carolyn H Allsup

Carolyn H. Allsup, 87, of Macon, MS passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Carolyn was born and raised in Yorkville, TN. She graduated from Yorkville High School and attended college at Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, TN where she met the love of her life, Dwayne Allsup. She worked for Agriculture Soul Conservation Services for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Thomas and Madolyn Haley, her brother Thomas Austin Haley and his wife Norma Colson Haley, and Dwayne Allsup, her husband of 64 years.

She is survived by her children: Donna Allsup Whitten(Steve), R. Brice Allsup (Linda), Dena Allsup Taylor, and Bruce Allsup (Stephanie), grandchildren: Haley Taylor Abshire, Austin Allsup, Ashley Allsup Smith, Allie Allsup, Samuel Allsup; great grandchildren: Ella-Jo Abshire, Artie Abshire and soon to be Kennedy Smith and her special friend Sandra Brown and a host of nieces and nephews.
