Bobby White

Robert W. “Bobby” White passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Meridian, MS.

Funeral service will be held at Butler Pentecostal Church on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at 3 p.m. Interment will follow in Butler Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Butler Cemetery Fund, 991 Johnny Higginbotham Rd, Shuqualak, MS  39341.  Cockrell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Robert  William White was born in Noxubee County, Mississippi on March 26, 1937 to the late Willie Ben and Annie Higginbotham White. He attended Mashulaville and Noxubee County High School. Bobby married Myrtis  Butler in September, 1963. He worked for MDOT, Noxubee County District Four and eventually retired as a log truck driver. Mr. White was a member of Butler Pentecostal Church. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, especially his great grandson, Max. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Billy and Robert White and sister, Margaret Vernon.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Myrtis White of Shuqualak, MS; daughter, Lisa White of DeKalb, MS; sister, Faye Eaves of Shuqualak, MS; two grandchildren, Dusty Rigdon and Ashley (Steven) Turner and great-grandson, Max Turner.
