Bobby Ray Hadaway, Sr., 83, of Macon, MS., went to be with his Lord and Savior on his 60th wedding anniversary, August 5, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family. A funeral service is planned for Monday, August 8, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Ross officiating. There will not be any public visitation. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Missions Fund, 105 Dent St., Macon MS 39341.
Bobby Ray Hadaway, Sr., was born on February 13, 1939 to the late Joyce Watson and Murry Hadaway in Starkville, MS. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1957 until 1959. Bobby Ray was a career truck driver and retired from Temtco Steel in 2007. In retirement, he drove part time for Calvary Church, East Mississippi Community College, and Good Farms. Bobby Ray was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and lead usher. He was faithful to share his testimony and gave God the glory for his salvation. He loved his family dearly. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Emmett Gray Hadaway.
Bobby Ray is survived by his wife, Abbie; son: Bob (Susan) Hadaway of Macon, MS; two sisters: Frances and Margie Allen, Perry, GA; three grandchildren: Chris (Erin), Logan and Reagan; one great grandchild: Ann Kollins and a host of nieces and nephews.
