Mrs. Bobbie D. Woodfin, 82, of Corinth, MS. passed away at North Miss Medical Center in Tupelo, MS surrounded by her family on Monday, September 14, 2020.  A private graveside service will be held at Shuqualak Cemetery in Shuqualak, MS on Thursday, September 17, 2020 with Bro. Dennis Smith officiating.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 2478, Oklahoma City, OK  73123.  Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the service arrangements.

Bobbie D. Woodfin was born in Shuqualak, MS to the late Bill Davis and Clytee Luke Davis on May 14, 1938 and was a graduate of Shuqualak High School. She married the love of her life, the late Tommy Woodfin, on January 1, 1956. Along with being a homemaker, Mrs. Woodfin worked as a secretary in various educational settings all through her lifetime. She was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Corinth, MS and, along with her husband, had been continually active in her church music program in her earlier years. After their retirement, Mrs. Woodfin enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed going to the Smokey Mountains with her family every year. No matter where she went, she never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Billy Davis, and grandson Steve Briggs.

Mrs. Woodfin’s family characterized her as “the center of our world “ and so are left to mourn are her two daughters: Jan Patterson and husband Gary of Counce, Tennessee and Lisa Spencer of Corinth, MS as well as her son: Dave Woodfin and wife Missy of Kosciusko, MS and her grandchildren ( who always referred to their grandmother as Mama Bob): Brian Briggs, Hunter Maddox, Luke Maddox, Molly Grace Spencer, Taylor Woodfin, and Anna Claire Woodfin. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren: Colby Briggs and Haley Briggs and special family Mike Maddox and Angie Maddox.
