Betty Aaron was born in Dekalb, MS on May 11, 1951 to the late Kirk Alton Williams and  jobs in the community. She met and married Bracky Aaron and they eventually made their home in Shuqualak. She worked for the Shuqualak Glove Plant where she was a supervisor for many years. Betty later worked at the office of Shuqualak Lumber Company, then briefly as a cashier at Tem’s Food Market in Macon and finally worked for the Mississippi Department of Human Services office in Dekalb, from which she retired. After many years of living in Shuqualak, she and her husband moved to Columbus to be nearer to their son, daughter-in-law  and grandchildren. She was a long-time member of Soule Harbor Pentecostal Church in Shuqualak and later of the New Hope Pentecostal Church in Columbus. Betty loved her church pastors and all the members of both churches. She looked forward to going to church and was always willing to help-out with any church project. She was a wonderful cook and many of her home-cooked dishes were given for funerals, weddings, and church fellowship meals. Everyone who knew Betty agrees that she always had a big smile on her face and was always trying to cheer up anyone not having a good day. She was blessed with a huge loving heart for everyone around her.  Betty was very proud of her family, all of whom she loved deeply. She was a staunch and vocal supporter of her beloved son, Matthew, in his high school athletic endeavors, especially in baseball, where she sat right across the fence from his third base position. She also enjoyed rooting for “her” Alabama Crimson Tide football team too! Betty enjoyed beauty shop, nail salon and shopping trips with her daughter-in-law and grandchildren and she loved going out to eat with her family.

Betty Aaron is survived by her Husband: Bracky Aaron of Columbus; Son: Matthew Aaron  (Courtney) of Columbus and by her grandchildren: Bailey Aaron, Remi Aaron, and Kimber Aaron. She also leaves behind her brother: John Williams (April) of Philadelphia, MS. And a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
