Arnie (Sonny) Lawrence Miller Jr.

Mr. Arnie L. (Sonny) Miller, Jr., 74, of Duncanville, AL passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at his residence.

A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Arnie Lawrence Miller, Jr. was born on October 3, 1948 to Arnie L. Miller and Marie Carpenter Miller in Brooksville, MS. He was a graduate of East Mississippi Community College where he played football. After graduation, he moved to Tuscaloosa, AL. He worked for Cargill Marketing where he operated a grain elevator at Alabama State Docks. Later, he worked for Tempco Roofing where he worked for seventeen years until his health forced him to retire.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, it was his passion. He enjoyed rabbit hunting and he had his own dogs. He loved Alabama football "roll Tide" and enjoyed the races. He preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dusty Channell.

Sonny  is survived by his spouse: Joyce Channell of Duncanville, AL; daughter: Tiffany Duco, two sons: Bradley Miller and Brandon Channell all of Tuscaloosa, AL.,  and his 12 Grandchildren: Braxton Hall, Curtis-Waylon Duco, Dotson-Lee Duco, Sunnie-Maria Duco, Piper Miller, Alex Miller, Zack Miller, Bentley Miller, Blake Channell, Isabella Channell, Hayes Channell and Lilly Channell.
