Mrs. Zelda Mae Jones, 88, of Shuqualak, MS passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Her funeral Service will be held at Butler Pentecostal Church near Shuqualak on Thursday, September 16 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Butler Cemetery. Bro. Rayburn Druey, Bro. Gerald Butler, Bro. Allen Eaves and Bro. Wes Jones officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening beginning at 6:30 P.M. Mrs. Jones was born on December 17, 1921 in Kemper County, Mississippi to the late Henry James and Ruthie Leona Warren Paige. She married Perry A. Jones and moved to Noxubee County where she lived all her adult life. She was a longtime member of Butler Pentecostal Church. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener. She enjoyed cooking for her friends and family and also enjoyed fishing. She loved her family dearly.
She is survived by 1 daughter: Mrs. Sue J. Higginbotham of Shuqualak, MS and by 6 sons: Charles Henry Jones of Vaiden, MS; Perry Andrew Jones, Jr , James Willis Jones, and Wayne Douglass Jones, all of Shuqualak, MS; Billy Joe Jones of Louisville, MS, and Harvey Earl Jones of Preston, MS. She is also survived by one sister: Sadie Warren of Dekalb, MS; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
