Misty Gentry

Funeral services for Misty Glenn Gentry will be held Monday August 2, 2010 at Bethesda Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Cockrell Funeral home from 2-4 Sunday and Monday at the church from 10-11. Bro Allen Dees will be officiating. Misty was born in Keokuk, Iowa, but was raised in Crawford, MS. She attended Central Academy in Macon, received her GED at MSCW, and attended Blue Mountain College in North Ms. She was a very talented artist and avid member of several artist associations in Mountain Home, AR. where she spent a large portion of the later part of her life. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, photography and social networking. She is preceded in death by her mother, Glennita Harsh Gentry, maternal grandparents, Beatrice Kinard Harsh and Kenneth Harsh and paternal grandmother Ava Gentry.
Survivors include her parents Larry and Lee Gentry of Crawford; grandfather, Merrill Gentry of Crawford; 2 sisters: Ava Lauren Gentry of Columbia, MO., and Kathy Dufrene of Lockport, LA.; brother, Philip McLain of Galliano, LA; special aunt, Mary Lois Burkett of Hattiesburg, MS ; aunts, Judy Turnage, Merilyn Gentry, Ginny Gentry, and Vicki Forby and uncles, Dan Harsh, David Collum, Wayne Collum, and Mike Collum.
