Inez Mae Koehn Nightingale was born to Fred B. and Sara Smith Koehn on June 13, 1925, at Ingalls, Kansas. She was happy to depart this life for her eternal home on February 6, 2018 at the age of ninety-two at Oakwood Manor, Brooksville, Mississippi.
She leaves to mourn, her children: Keith and Dianne, Macon, Mississippi; Myron and Effie, Jonesboro, Arkansas; Jennalea and Don Warkentin, Emelle, Alabama; and Charlynne and Michael Koehn, Magee, Mississippi; fifteen grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; one brother, Willis and Arlene Koehn, Moundridge, Kansas; six sisters: Lucille Wiggers, Moundridge; Frances Johnson, Brooksville, Mississippi; JoAnn Nightengale, Century, Florida; Helen Unruh, Brooksville; Annabelle and Orlan Becker, Hillsboro, Kansas; and June and Kenneth Schoonover, Colorado Springs, Colorado; one step sister, Wilma Dean and Lavern Schmidt, Montezuma; one brother-in-law, Ernest and Authrene Nightingale, Fairview, Oklahoma; and one sister-in-law, Geneva Klassen, Hesston, Kansas, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her step mother, one brother, and four sisters.
Mrs. Nightingale’s funeral service will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at South Haven Mennonite Church near Macon at 10:30 A.M. with Pastors Larry Giesbrecht, Bryan Nightingale, and Leo Classen officiating. Burial will take place in Cedar Cemetery in Fairview, Oklahoma on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. Visitation will be at South Haven Mennonite Church on Thursday, Feb 8, from 6:30 until 8:30 P.M. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is honored to be in charge of local arrangements.
