Mr. Thomas Everett Denton, Jr, 54, of Torbert, LA passed away at Our Lady Of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, September 30, 2017. His funeral service will be held at Butler Pentecostal Church on Tuesday, October 3 at 4:00 P.M. with Bro. Allen Eaves and Bro. Ronnie Cartwright officiating. Interment will follow in Butler Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 3:00 P.M. until service time. Memorials are requested to be made to the Butler Cemetery Fund %

Thomas Everett Denton, Jr. was born on July 19, 1963 to Dorothy Eaves Denton and the late Thomas Everett Denton in Macon, MS. He was reared in Macon and attended Central Academy there. Thomas married the love of his life, former Terry Slawson of Macon,
and together they moved to Louisiana. Thomas was a heavy machinery mechanic for John Deere and JPR Farms for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Thomas Denton is survived by his wife and son: Terry S. Denton and John T Denton, both of Torbert, LA. as well as by his mother: Dorothy E. and Gaylan Little of Macon. He is also survived by two sisters: Donna D. Geissler (Brad) of Valparaiso, Ind. and Connie D. Kennedy (Todd) of Haughton, LA. He was preceded in death by his father: Tommy Denton; his grandparents: Clyde and Annie Matt Eaves and Albert and Pauline Denton and Mrs. Eula Little.
