Margaret Cade Redus

Margaret Cade Redus, 99, of Brooksville, MS died August 29, 2017 at Trinity Health Care in Columbus, MS. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jearl Hunley and Pastor Kathy Brackett officiating. Burial will follow in Brooksville Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Moore Cemetery, c/o Bobby Cade, 1339 Beersheba Road, Columbus, MS 39702. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is entrusted with arrangements. Active pallbearers will be Tommy Redus, Jr., Brandon Redus, Billy Cade, Ben Cade, Wallace Cade, Bobby Cade, Eddie Cade, Tom Randall, and Bryan Tait. Honorary pallbearers will be P.J. Redus, Jerry Cade, Joey Miller, William F. Cade, John Cade, Tommy Cade, Bill Randall, Jerry Morgan, Ernest Brown, Jr., Audie Hughes, Dr. Kim Truesdale, Dr. Pat Ewing, Dr. Perrin Smith, Dr. Douglas Hill, and Dr. James Medlin.

Margaret Cade Redus was born on March 2, 1918 in Noxubee County, Mississippi to the late Wallace Homer and Margaret Elizabeth Moore Cade. She was a beautician who owned and operated Brooksville Beauty Shop for fifty years. She retired in 1985. She spent most of her life taking care of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. Mrs. Redus was a member of McLeod Chapel Church transferring her membership to Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Brooksville in 1937, later to Brooksville Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Redus is preceded in death by her husband, George Ezra (Bo) Redus in 1975, stepson, Buster Redus and Wanda, sister Nannie B. Cade, three brothers: Wallace (Sam) Cade, Edgar Cade and Bill Cade, Aunt Georgia Mary Jane Moore, brother-in-law Neal Randall.

Mrs. Redus is survived by stepson, Tommy Redus, Sr. and Margie, sister-in-law, Georgia Lee Cade and sister, Mildred Randall, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Noxubee Nursing Home and Trinity Health Care for the wonderful and loving care their loved received during her stay.
