Mrs. Floy Oline Woolbright Hines, 92, of Macon, MS passed away August 13, 2017 at Eva’s Place in Perkinston, MS. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Brooksville Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Jay Spiller officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011, Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway Suite 1509, New York, New York 10018, or Brooksville Baptist Church, P. O. Box 52, Brooksville, MS 39739. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Floy Oline Woolbright Hines was born on November 29, 1924 in Millport, AL to the late Aaron J. and Ada Sanford Woolbright . She moved to Crawford, MS at the age three and later moved to Brooksville when she was in the seventh grade. She graduated from Brooksville High School. After graduation, Floy worked for four years in Washington, D.C.in Civil Service with the Treasury Department.. She returned home and married Stovall Hines on May 24, 1946 and became a homemaker for several years. Later, Mrs. Hines worked for United Technologies where she retired after thirty-six and half years. A member of Brooksville Baptist Church, Mrs. Hines enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was known as one of the best cooks around! She is preceded in death by her spouse, George Stovall Hines, granddaughter, Sonya Robbins Watkins; two sisters, Mildred and Katherine Woolbright.

Those left to mourn her passing are her daughter, June Robbins (Perry) of Macon, MS and James W. Hines (Yvonne) of Jackson, AL ; three sisters, Elloine Boykin of Macon, MS, Joyce Jones of Newton, MS and Ouida Porter of Mobile, AL; four grandchildren, James W. Hines, Jr., Emily Frances Hines Nottingham, Robbie Robbins, and Jeremy Robbins; six great- grandchildren, Natasha Coggins, Colby Robbins, Kelsey Robbins, Ethan Robbins, Lainey Robbins and Caroline Nottingham; and one great-great grandchild, Madison Coggins.
