Mrs. Anna D. Bontrager Schrock 93, of Macon, MS passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her residence. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Magnolia Mennonite Church with interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Children’s’ Lifeline, P.O. Box 428, Hamilton, GA 31811. Cockrell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Anna D Bontrager Schrock was born on January 19, 1924 to the late David K and Lydia Miller Bontrager. She was married to Stanley Schrock on March 9, 1944 and they lived in holy matrimony nearly seventy- two years. For many years they made their home in Goshen, Indiana until they moved to Mississippi in 1994 where she made her home until her death. Mrs. Schrock was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, gardening, and was active in church projects. She was a member of Magnolia Mennonite church. Those who preceded her in death are her husband, two brothers, 2 sisters, 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Schrock is survived by her daughters: Alma (Leland) Miller of Macon, MS; Treva (Ivan) Hershberger, Due West, S.C.; Miriam (Lavern) Bontrager of Macon, MS; Gladys (Lavon) Bontrager of Kokomo, IN; her sons: Ernie (Gail) Schrock and Marlin (Kimberly) Schrock, both of New Paris, IN; 19 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Also left to mourn her passing are two sisters: Alma Miller and, Fannie Mae Lambright, both of Topeka, IN as well as 1 brother: Vernon Bontrager of Goshen, IN.
