Jewel D. Fulton

Mrs. Jewell D. Fulton, 77, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. Her funeral service will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church in Starkville, MS at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Interment will follow in Brooksville Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Tuesday at the church from 12-2 p.m. Memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children, P.O. Box 746, Columbus, MS 39701. Mrs. Jewell D Fulton was born in Noxapater, MS on September 24, 1939 to the late James W. and Emma Stokes Humphries. She was a graduate of Noxapater High School, Class of 1957 where she was the salutatorian of her graduating class. Jewell married Paul D. Fulton on December 21, 1957 and they made their home in Brooksville, MS. She worked as the office manager of Brooksville Medical Clinic for many years until her retirement in 2003. Mrs. Fulton was a longtime member of Brooksville Baptist Church. She moved to Starkville in 2008 to be near her daughter and family and then began attending Fellowship Baptist Church. Her grandson, Will, was her life and she devoted her time to spending with him taking him where he needed to be and following him in all of his athletic endeavors. Mrs. Fulton is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son: James Fulton; one sister: Helen Card and one brother: James Humphries.

Mrs. Fulton is survived by her daughter; Joy Fulton Holley (Dave); her grandson, Will Holley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
