Glenn Pendergrass, 74, of Shuqualak, MS passed away at his residence on Friday, December 16, 2016. His funeral service will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Soul Harbor Pentecostal Church in Shuqualak, MS. with Bro. Gerald Butler officiating. Interment will be in Butler Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday at the church from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Cockrell Funeral Home, RE: Glenn Pendergrass, P.O. Box 499, Macon, MS 39341

Mr. Pendergrass was born on October 1, 1942 in Shuqualak, MS to the late William David and Mary Butler Pendergrass. He attended Shuqualak High School. He worked at E.F. Nunn & Co. and while employed there he was sent to diesel mechanic school. Later he worked for Presley Construction as a diesel mechanic until he retired. Mr. Pendergrass was a consultant for Carolyn’s Scrapyard in Pine Hill, AL. His hobbies included fishing and riding the country roads with his dog and he also enjoyed cooking for his friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.

Mr. Pendergrass is survived by his wife: Tonya Pendergrass of Shuqualak, MS; daughters: Debra Cotton of Macon, MS and Glynda Jamison of Brandon, MS; sons: Glenn Pendergrass of Fuquay, N.C., Matt Davis of Grady, AL and Cody Davis of Prattville, AL ; one sister: Bernice Foster of Manassas, VA; 3 brothers: Aubrey Pendergrass of Van Cleve, MS, Jerry Pendergrass of Ocean Springs, MS and Roy Pendergrass of Pearl, MS as well as by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and Bill Boykin, who was thought of as a second son.
