Alvin L. Williams

Alvin L. Williams, 53, passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 26, 2016. A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel in Macon, MS. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011 or Noxubee County Nursing Home, P.O. Box 480, Macon, MS 39341. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is entrusted with arrangements.

Alvin was born on December 30, 1962 in Macon, MS to Minnie Patterson Williams and the late Luther Williams of Macon, MS. Alvin was a native and lifetime resident of Macon, MS. He attended Noxubee Co Public Schools. He worked in Park Maintenance for the City of Macon, MS for many years. He later worked as a security guard for Barge Forest Products in Macon, Ms. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his dad, Luther Williams.

Alvin is survived by his mother, Minnie Williams of Macon, MS., two daughters, Harlie Williams and Nicole Williams; a son, Kenny Ray Williams; two sisters, Debbie Thaggard of Starkville, MS and Wanda Lackey of Macon, MS; two brothers, Wayne Williams of Lexington, Ill and Tommy Williams of Noxapter, MS.; and two grandchildren.
