Robert Earl (Robbie) Rigdon, 59, passed away at his residence near Shuqualak, MS. on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. His funeral service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Macedonia United Methodist Church near Shuqualak at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon, MS on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and also on Friday at the church from 1:30 P.M. until service time. Memorials may be made to ALS, P.O. Robbie Rigdon was born on October 19, 1956 in Kemper County, MS. He was the third child of the late Robert Baxtley Rigdon, Jr. of Kemper County, MS and the late Ora Lavada Hunter Rigdon of Okeechobee, FL. He attended Kemper County Public Schools. He had various jobs in the logging industry and also enjoyed operating heavy equipment. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents: Robert B. Sr. and Willie Florence Fisher Rigdon; one brother: James Michael Rigdon and one sister: Winona Faye Coleman.

He is survived by his wife Beverly White Rigdon of Shuqualak, MS; one son: Dewayne Rigdon (Amanda) of Nanih Waiya, MS and two grandsons: Kaleb and Brantley Rigdon; He is also survived by two brothers: Terry Wayne Rigdon (Lisa) of Shuqualak and Jerry Wayne Rigdon of Porterville, MS and by 25 nieces and nephews.
