Elizabeth Heard Krueger

March 2, 1923 — January 13, 2016

Mrs. Elizabeth H. Krueger passed away on January 13, 2016 at Noxubee County Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Brooksville Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Spiller officiating. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth Archer Heard Krueger was born March 2, 1923 in the Lynn Creek area of Noxubee County.
Parents were the late George T. Heard and Ruby Boykin Heard. She was the oldest child and only daughter. She was educated in the public schools of the county and graduated from Brooksville High School in 1941. Following high school, she attended Bowling Green Business College in Bowling Green, Kentucky. After completing her studies, she moved to Chicago and worked as an administrative assistant. While there she married Herman M. (Bud) Krueger. They had three sons, Bud, Mark and Don. They lived in the Chicago area until her husband’s retirement when they moved to Springhill, Florida. Following her husband's death, she returned to the Brooksville area to be near her brothers and their families to whom she was affectionately known as Sis or Aunt Sis. She was a member of Brooksville Baptist Church. She loved her family, friends, and church and was always interested in what was going on in everyone's lives. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, George T. Heard, Jr. and James E. Heard.

Her survivors include her children: Bud & Carol Krueger, Delaware, Ohio; Mark & Barbara Krueger, Loveland, Ohio; Donald & Geri Krueger, Westchester, Illinois; Grandchildren: Heather Krueger Duis, Adam Krueger and Jan Vende; great-grandchild: Tally Vende; Brothers: John H. and Peggy Heard and Sam "Tiny" and Annie B. Heard of Brooksville and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
