Mr. Stanley Schrock, 92, of Macon, MS passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle Hospital in Columbus, MS. His funeral service will be held at Magnolia Mennonite Church in Macon on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 2:30 until 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Children’s Lifeline P.O. Box 428 Hamilton, GA 31811. Mr. Schrock was born in Goshen, Indiana on September 16, 1923 to the late Levi M. and Ida Mae Miller Schrock. He attended Clinton Community Schools and married the former Anna D.Bontrager on March 9, 1944. They made their home in the Goshen area where Mr. Schrock was first engaged in farming and then later became involved in the heating\ventilation\ air conditioning industry. In 1994, Mr. Schrock retired from the HVAC business and moved to Macon, MS where he became involved in chicken farming. In 2013 he began making blankets for needy children in third world countries. It is conservatively estimated that Mr. Schrock made over ten thousand blankets for this worthy cause. Mr. Schrock was a member of Magnolia Mennonite Church in Macon, MS.
Mr. Schrock is survived by his wife: Anna Schrock of Macon, MS; four daughters: Alma Miller( Leland) of Macon, MS; Treva Hershberger (Ivan)of Due West, SC; Miriam Bontrager (Lavern)of Macon, MS and Gladys Bontrager (Lavon) of Kokomo, IN. as well as by two sons: Ernest Schrock (Gail) and Marlin Schrock (Kim), both of New Paris, IN. He is also survived by three sisters: Frieda Yoder (Samuel) of Nashwuak, MN; Christina Schrock of Ligonier, IN; and Naomi Mast (Mervin) of Goshen, IN. Also left to mourn his passing are nineteen grandchildren and seventy-six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, nine siblings, one granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.
