Mr. Arthur Rhee Outz, 86, passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Salem Memorial Church near Macon, MS. Interment will be held in the church cemetery with military honors. Bro. Jesse Taylor, Rev. Barry Hathcock, and Rev. Andy Pearson officiating. Arthur Rhee Outz was born on December 3, 1928 to the late John Calvin and Sarah Mason Outz in Brooksville, MS. He was a graduate of Macon High School. After high school he was employed with Murry Chevrolet and later Murry Supply Co. He served his country in the US Army in the Korean Conflict. On December 27, 1953 he married Ethel Taylor. He was the manager of Anderson Auto Parts in Houston, TX for twelve years. Mr. Outz moved his family back to Macon in 1964 and was the general manager of Automotive Products. In 1967, he purchased the business and it became Macon Auto Parts where he worked until his retirement in 2009. He was a longtime member of Salem Methodist Church and was the caretaker of the church cemetery for many years. Mr. Outz was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Macon Lions Club. He was elected Lion of the Year twice during his service. He enjoyed his grandchildren and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ethel Taylor Outz and siblings; Frances Outz Banks , Calvin Kirk Outz, and Lehn T Outz.

Mr. Outz is survived by his daughter, Judith Outz Ewing of Macon, MS; two sons, Kirk and Wayne Outz of Macon, MS; brother, Alva A. Outz of Hackleburg, AL and 4 grandsons.
