Margaret W. Vernon, 80, passed away on Thursday; September 17, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle.
Funeral services will be held on Monday; September 21, 2015 at 2pm from Butler Pentecostal Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday; September 20, 2015 from 6-9pm at the Church. Interment will follow in the Butler Cemetery.
A native and lifelong resident of Noxubee County, Mrs. Vernon was born January 28, 1935, to the Late Willie Ben and Annie Higginbotham White. She worked for American Bosch for over 15 years, Spartus Clock Corp for 3 years, Shuqualak Co-op Glove Co. for 3 years and was an Independent Seamstress. She was a very active member of the Butler Pentecostal Church having served as the Chairman for the Ladies Auxillary and was voted Church Mother of the Year in 1987. Mrs. Vernon enjoyed Church Socials, Singings, family meals, fixing hair for her friends and spending time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Always a loving and devoted Mother, she truly had a heart for helping others.
Mrs. Vernon is preceded in death by her Parents, husband Freeman O. Vernon, daughter Deborah Vernon, son-in-law Jerry W. Adams and two great grandchildren Charles and Chandler Young

She is Survived by daughter Patricia Vernon Adams; son Ricky Vernon (Rhonda); sister Maggie Faye Eaves; brother Robert William “Bobby” White all of the Butler Community; sister in law Olga Presley Vernon of Brooksville; grandchildren Willard Adams, Robert Adams, Lori Jolly, Amy Adams, Leah Wylie, Kyle Vernon and Cody Vernon; Great Grandchildren Madalyn Young, Glyn Adams, Logan Young, Caleb Adams, Lance Adams, Victoria Adams, Haden Wylie, Whitney Adams and Jaleigh Wylie

Funeral services were officiated by Rev. Ronnie Cartwright and Rev. Gerald Butler. Pallbearers will be Kyle Vernon, Cody Vernon, Glyn Adams, Caleb Adams, Logan Young and Tyler Eaves. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ken Eaves, Willis Jones, Ralph Justice, Dan Eaves and Joe Clark

The family requests that memorials be made to the Butler Pentecostal Church or the Butler Cemetery Fund.
