Kris held various jobs in the Macon area, including working at Tem’s Food Market, Macon Chevron, and helping at his parent’s Sno-Cone and fireworks stands. He also was employed in sales with NEW (DirectTV) in Tupelo MS and Huntsville, AL as well as with various restaurants as a server. Kris was a member of Concord Baptist Church where his grandfather, Bro. H.O. Haywood, Sr., served as the pastor for many years. He was saved at a young age and was baptized by Bro. Jerry Zgarba with Tim Flora assisting. Kris was blessed with a multitude of friends and is remembered by all as a very kind, compassionate, and soft-spoken young man who was a friend to all he met, no matter their race or color. His compassion also extended to the four-legged community and he was quick to rescue injured or abandoned animals. Even after his death, Kris continued to help people, as his donated organs went to five individuals in desperate need.
