Dianne Persons Whitehead, 66, passed away at her residence in Macon, Ms on Monday, January 26, 2015. Funeral service will be held at Cockrell Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 with Bro. Bill Ross officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehead family cemetery near Louisville, MS. Dianne was born on February 21, 1948 to the late Leon Washington and Cleo Inez Burton Persons. She graduated from Noxubee High School, Class of 1965. She was a native and lifetime resident of Noxbuee County. Dianne was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved the piano and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Bernice Eaves & Margie Nell Burroughs , and one brother: Leon Persons, Jr.
Her survivors include her husband: Billy Whitehead of Macon; daughter, Dawn Smith and son Joe Whitehead both of Columbus, MS., two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
