Mrs. Bonnie Kate Lee, 93, of Mashulaville, MS passed away on Sunday January 25, 2015 at the Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 27 from the Chapel of Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon, MS at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. David Keen officiating. Interment will follow at Mashulaville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 Tuesday at the funeral home. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon (www.cockrellfuneralhome.com) has been entrusted with the service arrangements.

Mrs. Lee was born on July 5, 1921 in Fern Springs, MS to the late William Earnest and Lydia Belle Adcock Suttle. She grew up in the Mashulaville area of Noxubee County and graduated from the Mashulaville Agricultural High School. She received her Teacher’s Certificate from East Mississippi Junior College in Scooba, MS and returned to Mashulaville where she taught at the high school. Soon after returning to Mashulaville she married Fulton Ulrich Lee and they made their home in the Mashulaville community. She was the longtime secretary for the Mashulaville Water District and was a lifelong member of Mashulaville Baptist Church. She was a loving parent to her children and was a wonderful grandmother to her grands. She enjoyed the daily activities of a homemaker.

Mrs. Lee is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Margaret Parks of Louisville, MS and by one son: Doug Lee of Macon, MS. She is also survived by three grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and by one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son: David Lee; one brother: W.F. Suttle, and by two sisters:: Flora Puckett and Dot McKay.
