Violet Ann Vonkohn Jackson

Violet Ann VonKohn Jackson, 93, of Long Beach,California passed away on Dec. 22, 2014. Mrs. Jackson was a native of Macon, MS but had lived in California since 1961. She retired from Community Hospital after 24 years of dedicated service. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Neighborhood Church of Long Beach. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid gardener and was still weeding and mowing at age 93.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents: Herbert and Rubye Vonkohn; her husband: Frances Jackson; two sisters: Mary Kate Perkins and Juanita Gray; and by three brothers: Harry, Randolph, and Albert Vonkohn.
She is survived by her daughter: Patricia Duncan;a brother: Edwin Vonkohn; and by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren

Mrs. Jackson's funeral service will be held at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 3, 2015. A period of visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday.
Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.
