Mrs. Terry Jo Straley, 53, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 11, 2014 at her residence near Macon. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at 4:00 P.M. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel in Macon. Bro. Kendall Yost will officiate at the service. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon (www.cockrellfuneralhome.com) is entrusted with the service arrangements.
Terry Jo Klinesmith Straley was born on December 25, 1962 in Pennsylvania to Charles Klinesmith and the late Margaret Ora Spangle Klinesmith. She and her family moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. where she attended local schools. While in St. Petersburg, she married Joe Straley and they moved to the U.S. Virgin Islands, where they lived for 13 months. They then lived in Guyana, South American for two and a half years before moving to the Springfield, Ohio area where they owned and operated a construction business. She was also affiliated with the Bob Evans Restaurant chain, working in locations in both Florida and Ohio. In 2006 they moved to Macon, MS where they have made their home since. Mrs. Straley was a housewife and homemaker who enjoyed painting and flower gardening. She was noted by her friends and family as being a wonderful cook.
Mrs. Straley is survived by her father: Charles Klinesmith; her husband: Joe Straley ; one step-daughter: Kim Straley and one step-son: Craig Straley. She is also survived by four sisters: Barb Ferguson, Kim King, Brenda Mansell, and Dawn Klinesmith and by two brothers: Bobby and Mike Klinesmith. She also leaves behind two step-granddaughters: Amanda and Heidi Straley. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother: Chucky Klinesmith
