Funeral service for Mrs. Reba M. Conn, 53, of Shuqualak, MS will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Macedonia Methodist Church, Shuqualak, MS.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel from 7-9 p.m. and thirty minutes prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon, MS is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Conn was born on August 8, 1950 in Natchez, MS to the late Calvin and Thelma Maxey Bland. She graduated high school in Natchez, MS. She married Wayne Miller and together they served in the U.S. Air Force for a number of years. In 1980, she moved to Shuqualak, MS. and in 1983, she married Buddy Conn. She worked as a secretary for Noxubee County School system for a couple of years before going to work for the Naval Air Station in Meridian, MS in 1985 where she worked for 15 years. She then moved to Florida to be near her daughter and her family. After fourteen years, she moved back to Shuqualak to live with her son and his family until her passing. She was a member of Macedonia Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Conn and her parents.

Her survivors include a daughter: Roberta Christopher-Jacksonville, Fla. and her son: Kevin Miller-Shuqualak, MS, 2 sisters, May and Fay, brother, Jimmy Griffin of Brookhaven, 3 grandchildren and step-grandchild,  and 2 stepdaughters, Candy Ashmore and Angie Cooper.
