August 23, 1941 — January 5, 2014

Mrs. Sylvia Ann White, 72, of Shuqualak, MS passed away suddenly at her residence on Sunday, Jan.5, 2013. Her funeral service will held on Wednesday, January 8, 2013 at Macedonia United Methodist Church near Shuqualak at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Sean Greer and Bro. Allen Eaves officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon and one hour prior to the service at the church. Any memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75231-9986.
Mrs. White was born in Tennessee on August 23, 1941 to the late William Preston and Christine Anell Burton Beasley. She attended school at Shuqualak and was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. She worked as a seamstress for Scooba Manufacturing Plant and Cal-Jac for many years. She enjoyed baking and is fondly remembered by many for the cakes she baked for the public. She was a homemaker who loved being with her family. Mrs. Whites hobbies included vegetable and flower gardening.
Mrs. White is survived by Fred, her husband of 56 years, of Shuqualak, MS; 5 daughters: Darlene Black (Johnny) of Macon; Beverly Rigdon (Robbie); Linda Higginbotham (James); Lisa Rigdon (Terry) of; Christi Higginbotham (Tim) all of Shuqualak; 2 sons: Richie White (Brenda) of Preston, MS and Michael White of Louisville, MS. Also left to mourn her passing are 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one sister: Eddie Pearl Fox (James) of Shuqualak and special cousin, Nellie Thomas of Shuqualak, Ms.
