Roy Hall, Sr.

The graveside service for Roy Hall, Sr., 67, of Steens, MS will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Bethel Cemetery in Monticello, MS. Visitation will be held Monday at Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon, MS from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Golden Triangle Horse Rescue, P.O. Box 1685, West Point, MS 39773. Mr. Hall was born in Monticello, MS on January 24, 1946 to the late James William and Ossie Mae McWilliams Hall. He moved to Shuqualak, MS when he was a teenager and worked for E.F. Nunn and Company for many years. He later worked for Shuqualak Lumber Company for over twenty years and retired as an electrician from Trailboss Trailers in Macon, MS. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. He was passionate about raising and riding horses. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Ruthie Merle Hall.


Survivors include his companion: Barbara Jones of Steens, MS; 3 sons: Roy Hall, Jr. of Woodville, TX, Robbie Hall of Macon, MS and David Hall or Bradenton, FL; 3 sisters: Lillie Bell of Monticello, MS, Pearl Morris of Kennedy, AL and Jane Bell of Monticello, MS; 2 brothers: Jack Hall of Lake Cormorant, MS and Jerry Hall of Petal, MS; 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one soon to be born.
