Shirley Ann Featherston

Mrs. Shirley A. Featherston, 79, of Brooksville, MS passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at North Mississippi Medical Center-Hospice. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Brooksville Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Ben Yarber and Bro. Jerome Key officiating. Interment will be in Brooksville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made To North Miss. Medical Center-Hospice Inpatient, 830 S. Gloster St., Tupelo, MS 38801. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Featherston was born September 11, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Charles W. and Margaret Snively Ames. She was a graduate of Mishawalka, Indiana. She married Buddy Featherston and moved to Mississippi. She worked at Macon Pants Factory for many years. She worked for Wallace Gray for a number years and was presently working for Tem’s Food Market. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in West Point, MS. She was the proud grandmother to Rick Haggard and proud great-grandmother to Alexandra Katherine Haggard who was her pride and joy. Mrs. Featherston is preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Featherston; daughter, Melody Marchbanks, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Mrs. Featherston is survived by her daughter, Sue Haggard of Pittsboro, MS and sister, Mary Hostetler of Green Valley, AZ.
