Ellen W. White

Mrs. Ellen W. White, 95, of Brandon, formerly of Macon, MS, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at The Arbor Nursing Home. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 from Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rex Kilpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Brooksville Cemetery in Brooksville, MS. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Any memorials may be made to Brooksville Cemetery Fund % Melanie Hines 586 Hines Road, Brooksville, MS 39739. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
Mrs. White was born in Morgan City, MS on June 7, 1918 to the late Arthur and Cora Savage White. She was a homemaker in Noxubee County for most of her life and was a long-time member of the Macon Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Hosmer Dee Gilliland in February of 1947 and Joseph Tate White in April of 2001.
Mrs. Ellen W. White is survived by her two sons: Dee Gilliland (Betty) of Brandon, MS and Bill Gilliland (Oyo) of Arlington, TX. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
