Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Redus, 72, of Starkville, MS. will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon, MS. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Moore Cemetery Fund, c/o Bobby Cade, 1399 Beersheba Rd., Columbus, MS 39702.

Mrs. Redus was born on November 18, 1940 in Brooksville, MS. to Georgia Lee Conn Cade and the late Edgar H. Cade. She attended Mashulaville School. She was married to Buster Redus who preceded her in death. She lived most of her adult life in Starkville, MS. and attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She worked as a paralegal. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother who loved her family and animals. She enjoyed being physically fit. In addition to her father and husband, she was also predeceased by 2 daughters: Janice Thompson and Marie McKenna and a brother James H. Cade.

Mrs. Redus’ survivors include her mother: Georgia Lee Cade of Macon, MS.; mother-in-law: Margaret Redus of Brooksville, MS.; daughter: Cindy Hughes of Starkville, MS; 2 sons: Brandon Redus of Crystal Springs, MS and Perry Redus of Starkville, MS; 2 sisters: Ann Bethany of Clinton, MS and Ruth Ward of Pascagoula, MS; and brother: Billy Cade of DeKalb, MS. Also left to mourn her passing are 6 beloved grandchildren.
