Kirby Theodore Decker

December 22, 2001 — July 29, 2013

Our dear son, Kirby Theodore, was born to Les and Sheila Decker on December 22, 2001 at Scott City, KS. He unexpectedly left us on July 29, 2013 due to a farm accident at the age of 11.
Kirby was an early Christmas present and he brought us much joy. His earliest years were spent at the knee of his Great Grandma Della Decker and we envision them in Heaven together. His first 9 years of life, we, as a family, lived in Scott County, KS. Kirby grew up on the farm there with his two older brothers, Kenton and Kyle and older sister Lindsey. We as a family enjoyed many outdoor activities such as biking, picnicking, and camping.
Our move to Mississippi in August 2011 was a good one for Kirby. His easygoing nature, which was noticed by all, quickly won him many friends. The Mississippi outdoors drew him. He enjoyed swimming, fishing, biking and exploring.
“ Kirby….When God called, you answered and went to Him. We, as your loving family left behind, will never forget you and your special way. We entrust you into His loving arms. We love you! “
Those left with a treasury of memories are Daddy and Mama: Les and Sheila Decker; siblings: Kenton, Kyle, and Lindsey, all of Brooksville, MS. His grandparents: Galen and Virginia Decker and Kenneth and Lisha Dirks, all of Scott City, KS and Steve and Patti Haggard of Macon, MS. His uncles and aunts: Jason and Shawna Decker of Scott City. KS, Donovan and Deann Dirks of Paxton, NE, Jeffrey and Peggy Unruh of Macon, MS. His twelve cousins that loved him dearly as well as a host of friends.
Kirby’s funeral will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013 from Brook Haven Mennonite Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Any memorials may be made to Countryside Christian School % Fred Ensz 809 Pinecrest Drive Macon, MS 39341
