Doug Moore, 60, of Brooksville, Ms passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. Funeral services are planned for Monday, July 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon, MS. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery near Brooksville, MS. Visitation will be held Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home.

Doug was born in Crawford on January 8, 1953 to Betty Vandevender Daughty and the late Verle Moore. He was a graduate of Central Academy in Macon, MS and a Mississippi State University graduate with a degree in physical education. He was a member of East View Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. He worked as an electrician for Edwards Electric in Philadelphia, MS until he became disabled. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his children dearly, but his most pride and joy was his granddaughter, Paisley.

Doug is survived by his wife, Diane Moore of Brooksville, MS; mother, Betty Daughty of Gulfport, MS; daughter, Jessica Moore Brown of Caledonia, MS; a son ,
Adam Moore of Australia; two brothers, Ernest Moore of Brooksville, MS and Steve Moore of Slidell, LA; and one granddaughter, Paisley.
