Adrian Perry Gaither IV, 50, of Macon, MS passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 15, 2013. He was born on August 10, 1962, to Julia Sledge Gaither and the late Adrian Perry Gaither III.
A memorial service for Mr. Gaither will be held on Thursday, June 20, at First Baptist Church in Macon at 3:30 P.M. with Bro. Ralph Windle officiating. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held at the church prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:30. Any memorials may be made to Central Academy, P.O. Box 231 Macon, MS 39341
Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon, MS is entrusted with the service arrangements.

Perry, as he was known to his family and friends, was born in Memphis, Tennessee but was a lifetime resident of Macon, MS. He graduated from Central Academy in 1980 and was a gifted athlete. As a basketball player for the CA Vikings, he won All-Conference and All-State honors, as well as winning the All- Around Golfer in Golf award as well. He also played baseball for Central Academy and later coached his daughter’s Summer League softball team for several years, during which time they advanced to the State Tournaments several times. Perry also attended Mississippi State University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He remained an avid lifelong Bulldog fan. Perry worked for the U.S. Postal Service out of the Macon office for 25 years. He was a member of Macon Presbyterian Church in Macon and enjoyed fishing as well as following MSU sports.

Adrian Perry Gaither IV is survived by his daughter: Claire Gaither Blair of Starkville, MS; his mother: Julia Sledge Gaither of Macon, MS; Two Sisters: Emily Gaither Smith of Birmingham, Al. and Julia Broox Gaither Fox of Tuscaloosa, AL. and one grandson: Jackson Blair.
